The structure emphasizes the fragile rhythm of brushstrokes in smaller sizes. Designed for horizontal writing, it features a slightly elevated visual axis and generous letter spacing for clarity. OpenType functions adjust punctuation by language, and an additional Hangul glyph set refines vertical typesetting. 단정한 획과 날렵하게 뻗은 이음줄기가 특징인 명조 활자체다. 가는 붓을 쓰기 도구로 한 표정을 가지고 있으며, 굵기와 회색도를 조절해 긴 호흡의 글에도 쓰일 수 있도록 했다. 획이 가늘어지고 크기가 작아질 때 약해지는 붓글씨의 특징을 강조했다. 가로쓰기를 위해 구조를 맞추고 무게중심과 시각흐름선을 약간 상단에 두었으며, 자소 간 간격을 넉넉히 주어 작은 크기에서도 또렷해 보인다. 오픈타입 기능을 이용해 언어 설정에 따라 문장부호 위치가 자동으로 조정되며, 가로쓰기용 글꼴이지만 세로 글줄을 가지런히 맞춘 한글 글리프 한 벌을 추가해 세로쓰기 조판을 보완했다.

YMG Blanc YMG 블랑 A headline typeface with strong contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes. Based on sketches from Kkotdam by Jieun Kim (2014), it was redesigned in collaboration with Mingoo Yoon. It carries a sharp yet soft sensibility. Its letterforms reveal their character most clearly at large sizes, particularly above 24pt. A separate set of vertical glyphs ensures visually balanced alignment in both horizontal and vertical writing. 가로 줄기와 세로 줄기의 대비가 큰 제목용 활자체다. 2014년 김지은이 작업한 ‘꽃담’의 스케치를 바탕으로 윤민구와 협업해 새롭게 디자인했다. 날카로운 듯 부드러운 감수성을 지닌다. 24포인트 이상의 큰 크기에서 글자 표정이 잘 드러난다. 세로쓰기용 글리프가 한 벌 추가되어 가로쓰기와 세로쓰기 각각 적절한 시각흐름선으로 정렬된다.

It echoes the classical feel of Choi Jungsoon’s newspaper types from the 1980s–90s, while its balanced structure has been refined for modern digital use. With its clean simplicity and flowing strokes, it brings fresh expression to contemporary text. 11,172 Hangul full characters in 3 weights, it also includes a dedicated vertical glyph set for consistent vertical typesetting. YMG 문체고딕은 다양한 문체(文體, 문장 양식)에 고르게 쓰일 수 있는 한글 고딕 활자체다. 1980–90년대 최정순 신문 활자가 가진 고전적 인상을 풍기지만, 현대 디지털 활자체에 걸맞게 해석한 균형미도 느낄 수 있다. 단순함과 획의 연속성이 자아내는 미감으로 문장에 새로운 표정을 선사한다. 한글 11,172자 세 가지 굵기로 구성되어 있으며, 별도로 한글 세로쓰기용 글리프 한 벌을 포함한다.

It combines traditional Ming-style structure with a refined balance of curves and straight lines—classic yet modern. It makes a strong presence at headline sizes above 24pt, and its heavy weight and steady rhythm suit titles or moments of emphasis. 이름처럼 검고 강렬한 인상을 띤 획이 굵은 명조 계열 활자체다. 전통적인 명조체 구조에 곡선과 직선이 적절히 조화를 이뤄 클래식하면서 동시에 세련된 느낌을 준다. 특히 24포인트 이상의 제목용 크기에서 더욱 강한 존재감을 발휘하며, 묵직한 두께감과 안정적인 디자인으로 타이틀 혹은 시각적 강조가 필요한 곳에 잘 어울린다.
